Hello beloveds. :)
I have A LOT I could write about this week, and not a lot of time. I guess
Ill just start writing and see what happens.
So Tuesday was awesome with the new missionaries, taking them street contacting
and all. There are seriously solid ones. I remember my first day
street contacting I was a nervous wreck, but these studs just gave'r. Wednesday was transfers and we were running
around like crazy people with our brains spinning around all day. We had
an awesome dinner with the homies elder ridge Francis Payne, elder Jess Robert
hunsaker, elder Joshua Kyle Anderson, elder McKay Steven chamberlain, elder Cairo Jacob nerdin, and many other departing missionaries at the mission home.
Gonna miss them lots for a few months! We had to stay up until 1 to finish
writing and preparing to give our MLC training the next day.....
Bye Bye to my good buddies |
Thursday morning we were up at 3:45 to take the old geezers to the airport. After already being very sleep deprived from the previous three days, this was definitely pushing the fatigue to beyond my limits of being able to function. Somehow though, with the help of the Lord and some caffeine, we were all able to give a super great MLC training and everything went way better than we anticipated it would go even if we had gotten a normal amount of sleep for the past few days!! The main thing was our demonstration roleplays. Both of them were BY FAR the best we had ever done when it was there in MLC. We were super glad we were able to demonstrate the principles we wanted to teach well. 😊 That meeting went from 9-3 and all in all we had to give 4 trainings, all of them went great. I really think we received a spiritual gift to somehow not be affected by the minuscule amount of sleep we got that week, and simply worked through us to effectively teach the MLC. It was a super cool experience!
The next few days were when my body was
catching up with its tiredness levels. We were all so wrecked... we
all just about fell asleep at different times in Ray's lesson. I also slept
through half of sacrament meeting and 100 % of elders quorum on accident...
whoops. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were
pretty much all spent in the office fixing a bunch of problems that came with
transfers and getting things organized for a couple big events coming up soon
in the mission. We thought we were going to be able to do some
proselyting, and we did a tiny bit, but it was definitely taking a toll not
being able to do missionary work.
Monday
after a really long meeting with President Pattison, we had to spend a few more
unexpected hours in the office setting up our SAMSUNG GALAXY J3 (😍😍😍)
and then we finally had 2 hours in the evening to go finding. In those
two hours of tracting, we found 5 potentials and 1 investigator who is now on
date for August 12th! She had been wondering if God was there and seeking
for guidance that day, and what do ya know, we were led to her by the good
Lord. It was a super spiritual lesson and she acknowledged it. Her name
is Sarah, we are teaching her and her whole family on Wednesday! Taneshor is meeting with us on Saturday now
that he is back in town. :)
Dang sorry
that was a long email!! This week was the busiest of my whole life. I
have no doubt about it. The Lord seriously helped us so much
though. Thats why I love being a missionary so much. Yes, there is
so much to do and you're exhausted all the time, but you definitely receive
Heaven's help as much as is necessary, and sometimes it is necessary in very large
quantities, like this week. :)
Love you
all!
Weekly Scripture: D&C 123:17 Therefore,
dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power
; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation
of God and for his arm to be reavealed.
